Jelly Belly Tour--California
I was just reading a trip report that mentioned a tour of the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA (near Napa?). Has anyone else done this? I love seeing how things are made and I love Jelly Belly, so I think I'll add this to my Napa/Sonoma itinerary. How far of a drive is it from Yountville? Thanks!

The drive from Yountville isn't that far and it's a pretty drive. Evidently it's a good tour, however I haven't personally taken it, but will be doing so soon. The Budweiser plant is very close and it is a very interesting tour as well. If you like beer that is. I have done that tour and it is very good. They are very geared for the tours and it's amazing to see what is inside that building.
Have a good time.

I've done this a couple of times. It's pretty fun. They explain the lengty and involved process that creates the flavors. If they are making the cinnamon jelly bellies it smells really good! At the end they give you a bag of jelly bellies. There is a shop where you can buy many of their products. It's also expanded to be really big and to include food. Looks like they have lots of kid parties but I think those are separste fromt eh regular tours.

It's located on the freeway between SF and Sacramento. Get there early so you don't have much of a wait. It is one of the best tours I have ever taken.
Buy a few bags of 'belly flops' (rejects) at a great price. They also sell various products in their store - I love my jelly belly tee shirt!

The Jelly Belly tour is really fun and interesting. We sampled the jelly beans at various stages of production and received a small bag of Jelly Bellys at the end of the tour. The web site is www.jellybelly.com. The site gives directions from Napa to the factory. As stated on the web site, it takes about 20 minutes from Napa to the factory. Have fun.
