Jaqueomo's?
Has anyone ever heard of this restaurant? It came highly recommended to me but I can't find any references to it on this board or the internet. I may be spelling it incorrectly...Thanks!

Is it JACQUES-IMO'S CAFE in New Orleans you are talking about? Here's a web site for you to see if this is the place you are asking about http://www.jacquesimoscafe.com/. If it is, then you might want to repost with the correct spelling and the words "New Orleans" in your title. Good luck.

The St. Charles Streetcar goes right out there too! It's at 8324 Oak Street and the phone number is 861-0886. Just went two nights ago - it was excellent with lots of local specialities. Gets very busy, and they only take reservations for parties of 5 or more, so you might want to get there early. The waitstaff is really friendly and helpful, and it's a very crowded, rowdy-ish atmosphere. The decor is funky and their are cool murals all over the walls and ceiling. Excellent food!

Agree w/ puddy and D2...Jacques-Imos ROCKS! Austin Leslie frying away in the kitchen and Jacques and his famous Hawaiian shorts doing shots with the customers.
We went last Oct for the first time and will be going back again this Oct and will be taking a friend for his 50-something b;day. We may try and get the table in the back of the PU truck.
A couple of nice New Orleans type bars right next door too.
