how do you get an international reply coupon in the US? The post office no longer sells them.

Search the Forum for another thread, where the poster figured it out.

The search only found an old post from when the post offices in the US were actually still selling them. Any thoughts from anyone since the US post office quit selling them Jan. 2013?

What do you need the coupon for? Perhaps if we know the purpose we can suggest an alternative. But I must admit I had never heard of these.

A google search for International reply coupon found the following in the third result:

UPDATE 2/13/2013:

Effective January 27, 2013, the U.S. Postal Service® will stop selling International Reply Coupons. However, the Postal Service™ will continue to redeem them

You'd have to know someone in a country where they are still sold, and have them purchase and mail one to you. U.K has also stopped selling them.

P.S.
These are pre-paid postage that you buy in one country and send to another, they will be accepted overseas. Like a self-addressed stamped envelope in the U.S., (except that U.S. postage stamps would not be valid overseas, hence the need to include an international reply coupon.)

Interestingly, these coupons were the basis for the very first scheme of Charles Ponzi. He was buying them cheaply in one country and then selling them in countries where they were worth double, I believe.
