Honolulu Hotel

We will be staying in Honolulu one night prior to and one night after a cruise in February 2006. I have done all of the research for hotels (this board, tripadvisor, others), and have a couple of possibilities (although your comments are welcome). However, on each website when I have tried to check availability---it tells me there is nothing available! Is is really possible that the hotels book up 11 months in advance? I am hoping that maybe it is actually too soon to book---but none of the message indicate that---they all say no availability. Is this possible?

Are you booking with the hotel directly or thru a general booking website?

Suze---
I am actually going to the individual hotels' websites. That is why I am so surprised that I am getting the same "no rooms available" message from each of them.

What hotel? The closest one to the cruise ships is the Aston Executive Centre on Bishop Street.

It might be worth a telephone call direct to the hotel front desk(s)?

You're right, it hardly seems likely to be fully booked at a large hotel nearly a year in advance.

We actually enjoyed the Waikiki Marriott, which actually has some great views out over the water and the city.

Hi!
Perhaps they aren't booking this early in advance. Try booking a little closer to your travel date. Say, 9 months? Maybe even 6 months.
Aloha!

CALL the hotel directly..waiting may bring even greater disappointment.
