Honeymoon Ideas?

My fiance and I are looking for honeymoon ideas. We have a budget of around $1,000 and although we like to see and do stuff aren't thrill seekers either. We want a honeymoon to relax, but also to be able to go out and do some activities. Any ideas?

Does the $1,000 include transportation?
If so, from where will you depart.
How many nights do you plan for your honeymoon?

Hello Paris, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

About your honeymoon, where are you now located and does your $1,000.00 include travel expense such as airfare, car trip? And what type of activities do you two enjoy? What is your budget for nightly lodging and what type of lodging plus how much and what type of meals are of interest to you etc.

More information is needed in order for anyone to offer some advice. Best regards.

We are looking at about 4-5 nights. The grand includes everything. We are departing from NE Indiana.

If you are into country music and you are driving, Nashville would be an option.

travelzoo.com

bookit.com

cheapcaribbean.com

spirit.com

[email protected] priceline.com vacationstogo.com

for cheapo cruises... fly/drive to neworleansonline.com

Cruise to Carib Mexico from there might work

If you are talking about $500 each that is cutting it close

Will be pretty tough to do...especially another country.

Congrats!

Debit just read her first postwe are all trying to help here.

It is very unusual for an OP to post twice so chillax

If you cannot do anything but be critical of other posters

trying to help why post in the first place?

Paris good luck to you sorry for the clueless nattering

nabobs of negativity that troll here cometimes.

I am sure you will recieve many other helpful suggestions.

I actually posted a very relevant remark instead of always posting the same solutions to all queries as some posters do, without paying attention to the OP's requests. And for the record, many times OP's come back to indeed clarify and add additional details that will enable us to give useful suggestions. So, reading the entire thread is a good idea, not just the OP.

I am guessing this is someone who hasn't traveled a lot and isn't familiar with with how most mass travel options work. I think they were looking for some specific ideas rather than blanket links.

Also, what time of year will you be traveling? Makes a difference where you could go.

If you want to go to CA in the summer, try San Francisco, or fly into Reno, rent a car, and drive to Lake Tahoe.

Fly to Vegas - get a cheap flight, cheap car, do a drive to one of the NP's like Zion, Death Valley, or Grand Canyon. Check for a package that includes flight and car and maybe a night in Vegas at the beginning or end of the trip. Right now there are super cheap deals for the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas and the week after the New Year.

Again, without know the time of year this pertains to, all of these suggestions aren't very helpful.

{and the link provided above by the new poster is clearly an ad which seems to be for military and fed employees, maybe.}

Check out Allegiant Air for flights. They fly out of several midwest cities to Florida, Las Vegas, etc.. Then use priceline to secure a hotel room. You can research winning hotels and bids at biddingfortravel.com. There are other sites to research hotel rooms/flights such as travelzoo and hotwire. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. Hope you find a wonderful honeymoon destination.

OK, so now we have a time frame.

Are you closer to Midway-Chicago or Indianapolis? Thinking about flights.

southwest has some good options for air and hotel deals as well as cruise deals.
