Help with vaction planning please

My wife and I are trying to plan a 3-4 day trip. It can be driving or involve hopping a flight out of Raleigh, NC. We'd like some recommendations of where to go. We'd like someplace that has great food and drinks. Not so much on clubs/partying etc. We've done Cancun and the Bahamas, and those both appeal, but just not sure about doing only 3 nights. However, I guess if we are catching a plane to the west coast it wouldn't be so different. The idea of staying in a nice hotel, with easy access to places to eat and drink nearby sounds good. If we stayed in the US, what would some recommendations be? We both love the mountains, but love the beach as well. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. If you need anymore info, just ask, I will check back often. Thanks again.

Will you rent a car? Or do you want to fly to somewhere else?

NC has beautiful beaches and mountains, but it would be tough to do both in 3-4 days. Do you want to actively sight-see or just chill?

How about Quebec? Montreal is a world class city as far as dining, and it has a European feel. Quebec City is extremely scenic and very French. The Quebec countryside is quite beautiful - some parts are mountainous, other parts are flat with dairy farms. There are wineries, apple orchards, and the best road bike trails in the world. With only 3 days I would choose either Montreal or Quebec City.

To me?? Nothing beats a trip to Manhattan...something for everyone. And I know people will rag on the heat...but you live in the south, so, I would dismiss that blurp. Also love Cape Cod...Brewster.

So many places with so little info on you, but those are two of my favs that would not require massive travel time for a short trip.

Drivable? Fripp Island right there in your neighborhood!

I agree somewhere closer like New York or Cape Cod would be a beautiful and fun trip for a 3-4 day trip. If you want to go a little bit more of a distance there are so many places in Florida that are just beautiful, right by the beach and many sites you can see depending on the location. Key West is especially beautiful and is a great relaxing getaway with gorgeous views.
If you are set going out of the country that would be really hard to go there in a short time like that. If the flights are even 6 hours each way from NC that is half a day you will miss.
Good luck deciding though! Its fun getting away no matter what

well, not in the US, but maybe Bermuda? its such a short flight, and there are nice all-inclusives on the beach. Downside is its kind of pricey.
