Help me pick a restaurant in New Orleans!

Help, I've done it again~left something to the last minute! I am in charge of making dinner reservations for a party of 8-10 for Friday night in New Orleans. I would prefer someplace not so frou-frou as say, Galatoire's or Commanders Palace, but a nice meal with good food. Price is not a concern. Does anyone have any experience with either Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, or any of Emeril's restaurants? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, and oh yeah, I need this ASAP!!!

Hi amy,

We've enjoyed Stella!, Lilette, and NOLA, among many others.

Add Muriel's to that list.

Of those, Stella! is my favorite, but my husband fondly remembers the duck he had at Lilette.

But we still like Commander's Palace and Galatoire's best.

I wish we were going to be eatring in New Orleans Friday!

Pascale Manale's in the Garden District. Great seafood, etc. but the best BBQ shrimp ever!

Brigtsen's was always one of my favorites. Whether they can help you on such short notice for that size group, I don't know.

Your best bet is to call your favorites and see which can accommodate you. This is short notice, so it may be more about which restaurant is available.

Does anyone have any experience with Cafe Adelaide? It is a Brennan family restaurant located in the Loews Hotel. Is the food/service good?

Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse is good...I'd pass on Emeril's restaurants.

Another thought. Has the Palace Cafe reopened? It's a good choice, too.
