GTG in Dallas

Anyone want to do a GTG at the Belmont in Dallas this month? I can do Tuesday or Wednesdays most of the month.
They have a good patio and it is still nice outside
What do you think?

November is a bit busy for us - only have Nov. 14, 28 or 29 available. December may be better - more time to plan.

I rarely miss a GTG in TX, but weeknights don't work for me either, as I live in Austin.

I can do whenever...but, P_M HAS to be there. Is it possible to do a weekend?...even an afternoon on weekend? The Belmont has a nice lounge area indoors too. Wonder what yk's schedule is like...

Ok... maybe a low key Saturday or Sunday brunch somewhere?
It does not have to be the Belmont.
Maybe Grapevine again?
Heck, we could commandeer a table in the vast food court of Grapevine Mills or even Northpark, that way people could spend or not spend without guilt.

Ps... I would just prefer not to break up the whole day by meeting after 5pm... not that y'all are not worth it... it just works much better for me if we meet rather early in the day.
Maybe we could meet at 11am or so? Even a breakfast would be good.

Hey TxTravelPro, are you taking members north of the border?? I was reading about the San Francisco gtg and was hoping there would be one around this area.
The weekend of 18th and 19th works.

Sound fun!!><

I could do something early that weekend.
I am a bit tired this morning, so I am not sure what the North of the Border means... Oklahoma? I am sure it is obvious but I am not the sharpest tool in the shed
Where?
Anyone else?

I could do the 18th; not sure about driving to OK, though.
This may be too soon for most people to plan; maybe we should wait until early Dec.
P_M are you out there?

TxTravelPro: Your tools are plenty sharp! I can be in Dallas that weekend or if you guys plan ahead for December I can shoot for that, too!

Yes, I'm here pepper, and thanks for thinking of me, you are very kind.

When I'm in the DFW area I always stay with my pal V. I just called and she already has plans for Nov. 18. I have one other friend in the DFW area, so I might be able to make it that day if I can stay with her. In any case, if the majority decides on the 18th, then please carry on with your plans and I'll come if I possibly can.

Thanks again pepper, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Hi folks-

Thanks for thinking of me! Unfortunately, I'm working weekend of Nov 18 & 19 - both days. So any GTG during the day time is out for me.

The following weekend (Thanksgiving weekend) DH & I will be in Vienna/London. Yippeee!

Don't know my schedule for December yet, but looks like December may work out better for everyone.

I'm guessing that this last minute gtg is not going to happen. Hopefully December or even January may work better for everyone.

Here's hoping!!

I'm in...looking for a reason to get out to the Belmont...looks pretty cool. Tues/Thurs good for me, or weekends.

I have been so wrapped up in work I have not been able to work on this... I am so sorry.
I am still up for it, I just can't get my contacts at the Belmont to committ to anything solid at the moment. Basically they just want us to come whenever... I'd like to do it when they have a room to show us.
If somebody will just set a date and help out with getting an approx count, I can take it from there with the Belmont.

What date's are we talking about now??

I'm flying down in Dec but thought of driving down in November. If this coming weekend, I'm out now.

What does December look like? I'm flying down on Mon 16th but can change that for the weekend before if we can all get together.

What do you think?

The staff at the Belmont is very casual and accomodating. I don't think they're hardly ever so full that they won't be able to show us a room or two...but honestly, I've gone to look at rooms when I've stopped by for drinks and it's never been a problem.

If we can do a weekend, so more Fodorites can attend, I'm all for it.
