New Orleans. Last weekend in April is the Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Plus, April is the best month weather-wise in NOLA. Pretty and not too hot.

Also same age group, and teachers went on a 4 day cruise with Royal Caribbean and had a Wonderful time! It was just enough. Not too much on a boat. In fact, we stayed over night on one of the islands. (Bahamas from Miami) We were able to gamble just enough, see the shows just enough, etc...do all the crusie kinda stuff, and then do some great tours off the ship. One entire day was spent doing water sports and having a beach BBQ at Coco Cay. Loved every minute!!! I've been on 7 day cruises and it is too much for me. This was a nice variety and not too much of a good thing, if you know what I mean. The different interests of everyone was met...some went to the spa, some gambled, some sunbathed, others snorkeled, etc...We ALL loved it!

Thank you all for the vacation ideas. Has anyone ever been to South Padre Island in Texas? (I know spring break will be over by then!)
