Do you mean Nashua as in Cow Hampshire? (I mean New Hampshire)
Go for any of the more "hip" restuarants on a Friday or Saturday night that have live music.
There are some downtown on Main Street. Pick up an issue of New Hampshire Magazine or the Hippo Press for ideas too.
To get better feedback, consider offering up your age and anything else that would be helpful in finding you that "perfect" spot! Also confirm that you're in NH (I don't know of a Nashua anywhere else...yet).

Since you are mid-30s, I'm guessing you're looking for a classier joint. Michael Timothy's has a nice bar area...it's pricey though. It's right downtown.
If you're looking for more of a "let's shoot pool and hang out" place, you can go to Boston Billiards on Northeastern Blvd...either exit 4 or 5 works.
Oh, there is also the Sky Lounge out on 101A. That might work for you. I know they have a myspace page..not sure if they have a regular website.

Michael Timothy's would be a good first option, another would be: Lilac Blossom on Spit Brook Road next to Sky Meadow it's more modern and trendy than their Amherst St. location. I haven't been in ages, but how is Casa Banca on Main St.?
There used to be a few bars/nightblubs in Nashua back in the day but they're gone. There was the Bounty at the Holiday Inn at exit 4 and the Bahama Club at exit 7 on Amherst St. I'm feeling old now!
Let us know what you choose and how it goes. Maybe we can be more helpful for the second date!! Good luck.
