So my wife and I are taking a trip from Sedona up to lake Tahoe. We have about three days to do it, and since it is only a 10 hour drive, we're looking to stop a couple of places along the way. In fact, we're willing to take a round about way to get there. We love site seeing and nature, as well as hiking and what not. Hope people have got some idea!

If you go north to Flagstaff, about 10 miles east is Walnut Canyon Np. Then of course there is Grand Canyon. Hoover Dam along the way, as is Lake Meade.
What time of year?
Interested in Death Valley? Lots of hiking there.
Look at www.395.com for information on the eastern Sierra.
Yosemite, Mono Lake, Bodie State Park all on the way.
We're going in mid-July, and we're ok with hot weather for the most part.
