Evening ideas

Hello all.
Well I have screwed up. I have always been able to come up with something in the evening as far Musical shows go..last minute. Arrived Sat. morning got on Broadway box and found two tickets to American Idiot ...Orchestra on the isle , for that night.Nothing at all available for any shows thru Sat the 27th.
Does any one know or have any suggestions for something else. entertaining 21 & 23 yr old daughters? Comedy club, magic, variety show that may be a good option.

That doesn't sound right. Are you sure?
I just checked Avenue Q and there are 3 tickets available for purchase.

Are you just checking Broadway Box's website?

Look at www.playbill.com for both Broadway and off-Broadway options.

Memphis has tickets available. Mom23rugrats just raved about it!

Billy Elliot has tickets available.

I'm looking at Telecharge's website.

Ticketmaster is the other official ticket seller for Broadway shows.

La Cage has tickets -

3 Tickets, Left Orchestra Row N, Seats 10-14
13 rows from Stage. Seat 10 is 5 seats off aisle.

There are plenty of musical tickets available for Saturday

Go to Playbill.com

Pick your top 3 shows to see.

Click on either the Ticketmaster or Telecharge link to the right and look for tickets...

OR call the theatre directly to order them and pick them up at will call

OR stop by and buy them at the box office.

I'm totally confused when you say, "Nothing at all available for any shows thru Sat the 27th." There are plenty of seats available for a lot of shows, both at discounts and full price.

And there's TKTS, where you'll always find something for same-day purchase.

Starrs, don't you know that you can't contact the theater box office directly by phone for tickets? You've got to go through Ticketmaster or Telecharge. The only way you can deal with the box office is in person.

I did for the Sondheim tickets. Maybe it's because I started the transaction online at the internet cafe near the Gershwin but didn't get a confirmation. I called the box office and the seat was still available and then walked to the box office to get the ticket. I went to the internet cafe after I bailed on the wait in the TKTS line

I usually buy ahead of time online.

To the OP, sorry for the incorrect info. If you are in NYC go to the box office to buy the tickets.

You can also go on-line to Time Out New York and the Village Voice, there is a whole world of activities at night in NY. Although I am not sure there is a magic show.

They might like one of the scores of music venues, off-Broadway plays, and other events that may be new to them.
