Driving up the Pacific Coast

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I will be driving up the Pacific coast in October for our honeymoon. Neither of us have done this drive and we know theres a TON of cool stuff to see, so we're hoping to get a few suggestions. We are squeezing a lot of traveling into ten days, but we both like to drive so we aren't too worried about that aspect of the trip.

We have all of our nights booked, so we're just looking for a few cool (and cheap!) things to do, sights to see, and food to eat. We like art, music, and "weird" attractions.

1 night in LA (we aren't planning on doing too much sight-seeing here)

1 night in San Luis Obispo

1 night in Monterey

2 nights in San Francisco (staying at Hotel Des Arts)

1 night in Miranda (Ave of the Giants)

1 night in Coos Bay

2 nights in Portland (staying at the Kennedy School)

1 night in Seattle

Also, if anyone has any tips or helpful info on booking flights, we could definetly use them as well!
Thanks!
-Aaron
