Driving I-90 toll cost?
I'll be driving from Niagara Falls, NY, to central New Hampshire in late July. The best driving route on the map appears to be I-90, a toll road. We don't have many of those on the West Coast but I have driven them in Italy and they were very expensive. Does anyone know much would it cost to drive the I-90 from Buffalo to Albany, NY? Any recommendations or alteratives? Our focus on this leg of the trip is to get there quickly. Many thanks!

Niagara Falls to Downtown Albany on the New York State Thruway will cost you a bit under $10 (my guess would be $9.65). I think the money will be well-spent, as any alternate route will take substantially longer. It's a 300-mile trip, but you can do the whole thing at 70 mph.

The toll would be under $10 for standard car, van or SUV. For trailers check this NYS site and calculate the toll yourself: http://www.thruway.state.ny.us/tolls/index.html

$8.45 according to http://www.thruway.state.ny.us/tolls/calc/index.html
I can give other routes, but I'd consider that money well spent, unless you want to spend a lot of time at traffic lights and 35mph speed limits.
