Coral Gables - Best spa?

I'll be staying at the Hyatt in Coral Gables in April. That hotel doesn't have a spa, so I need to find a spa close by. I've tried to look at the Biltmore but the website isn't that informative. Are there any other 'great' spas in the area that I should review?

I think the best spa in the Miami area is located in the Mandarin Oriental. Stunning and beautiful.

I've been to the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove, spa is just ok there. .

Look at: http://www.mandarinoriental.com/hotel/526000004.asp

Only caveat: bring a sack of money.

Many consider this one of the best spas in the country, not just Miami.

Wow that is pricey. I'm going to lean toward the Biltmore due to its location close to my hotel (the Hyatt) in Coral Gables.

Hey mdtravel....are you are doctor or from MD? Anyway, would you please post your experience at the Biltmore. There is little info on this board and it is a gorgeous hotel. I'd love to know about the spa first hand from someone. Thanks LMF

ha ha. Neither actually. Those are my initials and part of my email address that I use for all my travel related emails, updates, esavers and so on.

I will update the boards on our spa experience at the Biltmore. I tried to book some appointments today but they don't have the April schedule out apparently. Oh well.

I've been to the Biltmore Spa and it is not that great. Myra & co. in south Miami is nice as is the Ritz Carlton grove spa. The best of the best is either the Mandarin spa or the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne Spa.

sorry posted before I was finished. close to your hotel is Elemis Spa in Merrick park that is wonderful. I love to go there and it is close to my home. After the Ritz or Mandarin I would say that this is a nice option.http://www.elemis.com/usa/spaOffers.html

Glad to hear about the Merrick Park spa. I love that shopping area....Nordstom's and my company is opening a satellite store in the area soon, at least I think that is the area. Will have to check it out. LMF

When you say it is not that great and then mention the other spa, can you please compare & contrast the two? I just booked two treatments at the Biltmore so am anxious to determine if I should cancel it or not.
