Closest airport to Crested Butte?

Hello. I know about Gunnison and Montrose. Other than those, which airport is closest to Crested Butte if we wanted to drive from that airport-- Grand Junction? Colorado Springs? Denver? Did I miss one? Thanks!

Grand Junction is about 150 miles; Colorado Springs about 200 miles and Denver is 250 miles from Crested Butte.

Depending on where you are coming from, Allegiant Airlines flies into GJ from Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
155 miles from Grand Junction to Crested Butte-125 miles of it on US 50 for about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Grand Junction is also a good base to drive to Moab, UT or Mesa Verde NP.

We have a house in Crested Butte and have never really heard of people flying into Grand Junction to get here. Most people fly into either Montrose or Colorado Springs in the summer if Gunnison doesn't work out. For instance United doesn't serve my hometown and so its pretty much impossible to fly to Denver and then to Crested Butte so if I fly up here in the summer, I fly into Montrose and rent a car there.

I suppose in the summer there's always the possibility of flying into Aspen as well.

I guess you could drive from ANYwhere, but depends on what you're looking for on the drive? And how long do you want to be in the car?
If it's after July 4th, you can drive over Independence Pass to Buena Vista, Salida, Gunnison and then to CB. I did that drive last summer to Leadville and it was quick, easy and beautiful.
