Carlsbad Caverns Tour
We will be in Carlsbad in November and plan on taking the Natural Entrance self guided tour. But I am debating on whether to add the Left Hand Tunnel Tour. My hesitation is due to the fact that the only LHTT is at 9:00am. So we would do it before the Natural Entrance. Has anyone out there done both? Does it make a difference which is done first? And is LHTT worth it? We have the whole day set aside so time is not an issue. Thanks!

We too had time constraints so we opted out of guided tours. We did Natural Entrance & Big Room. If you have to choose, Big Room had better "scenery" but entering the cave through that enormous hole (Natural Entrance) was INCREDIBLE!

Like laurieb_ I did Natural Entrance & Big Room. I think someone not doing the natural enterance is missing a lot. If I was taking someone and only had time for one tour, I would take them by the Natural Enterance.

You can certainly do both; just be sure to leave enough time after you finish the Left Hand Tunnel tour.
Another option is the...oh, drat, I'm blanking out on the name...Queen's Palace (King's Palace?) tour. You can walk down from the Natural Entrance to join this tour or you could do the Natural Entrance and Big Room, then wait underground for an afternoon QP tour.
