Car rental advice Grand Canyon
My husband and I will be embarking on a 3 week excursion through the Grand Circle. I'm wondering if we can get by with a budget size car or if we really need to get a larger vehicle. We are not camping but we are visiting Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Arches, Escalante, Bryce, Zion etc. Are the roads rough?
Thanks in advance for your insight.

You can find rough roads if you want but in general the main sites of all the parks you mention are on decent paved roads.
There are be a few short sections of rough roads like getting to the the Devil's Golf Course in Death Valley, but we saw sub-compacts there, no problems.
My $0.02 is that a budget sized car will be fine. Have a great trip through some awesome country!

I just booked a rental car for AZ in November and didn't find much difference among categories--economy, compact, intermediate. We ended up with an intermediate, which will be a Toyota Corolla or similar. Make a reservation, then input your information at www.autoslash.com for a possible better offer.
