Camden/Rockport or Kennbunkport?

Looking to do a nice getaway with the wife this week (Thurs/Fri/Sat) and coming from Boston. We love Bar Harbor. Wondering which place has more to do and see, Kennebunkport or the Camden area. Either way want to stay on the ocean in an Inn.

Camden:
Inn at Sunrise Point: http://www.sunrisepoint.com/area.htm

Kennbunkport:
Bufflehead Cove Inn: http://www.buffleheadcove.com/inninfo.html

Which area would you choose for coastal hikes, good dining and plenty of shopping in those Bar Harbor-like shops.

Thank you,
Axel

Either will be great. Kennebunkport is a little more touristy and beach oriented, but also has more to do. Lots of shops, great beaches (for walking only this time of year), plenty of places to eat. Just down the road is Ogunquit, which is another very busy, touristy town with lots of art galleries, and the famous marginal way walking trail.
The Camden/Rockport area is more scenic, more 'real Maine'.

Love Kennebunkport and the Bufflehead Cove Inn looks wonderful.
We've stayed at White Barn Inn but will add the charming inn to the mix.
Great food too.

I booked the Inn at Sunrise Point for a few days and leave tomorrow.

If anyone is familiar with this area, please suggest some things to see and do. I'll be online researching.

Thank you.

Just a quick follow up. Camden was GREAT and a short drive to Rockport ME was also very fun. Saw some great light houses along the way, enjoyed the downtown of Camden (Rockport had a nice lunch spot) and overall really enjoyed this long weekend. Definitely recommend where I stayed as well. Been to Bar Harbor and Boothbay, now, and would definitely go back someday.

Thank you again.

We will be driving from Portland to Southwest Harbor in two weeks and interested in the lighthouses you enjoyed along the way. Are they accessible from land or water? We will be staying 2 nights in Camden - any suggestions. This is our first trip to Maine. Thanks.

There are 14 of them near Camden.

If you go to Owls Head, check out the Transportation Museum and have lunch at Waterman's [only open Wed - Sunday ]
