Breakfast near Bureau of Printing?

Since we have to be on line so early (7:30am) to get tix for this, I'm thinking we can get the tickets and then get some breakfast. Anyone have any recommendations on a good breakfast place near the Bureau of Printing & Engraving and is the Holocaust Museum right next door to fit into the same day?

Thanks in advance.

Actually, for that matter, lunch ideas as well??? There don't seem to be any places near there listed in my travel book.

I could be wrong about this as I haven't lived there in some years, but as I recall, there aren't any places to eat right near the Bureau and the Holocaust Museum. If you cannot take some time to walk to the National Gallery of Art for lunch, or hop on the Metro and go to another neighborhood, I'd plan on doing the hotdog vendors for lunch. As for breakfast, I'd walk up Penn Ave in search of a coffee shop, which are plentiful; 10 minutes, it should take you. Have fun!

I've not found DC to be "big" on breakfasts - seems everyone gets something "to go". However the Holocaust Museum has a snack bar in a separate building, to the west side of the block that they're (HM & BOP) located on. We ate there while waiting for our ticket-time to come up.

Definately plan on the Holocaust Memorial Museum cafe for lunch - one of the few museum cafes in DC (along with the National Gallery of Art cafe and the Spy Museum cafe) that actually has good food. You might consider a picnic breakfast as there are no restaurants in the Bureau of Printing & Engraving neighborhood. You'll be right next to the tidal basin and there are lots of nice picnic spots.

you can walk up to 14th and constitution ave (maybe about 15-20 minutes) and go to the food court in the basement of the Ronald Reagan building. stuff there is pretty good.
