Balloon fest hotel question

Need help fast..thinking of going to the balloon fest in ABQ at the spur of the moment...any advice on good/bad hotels would be appreciated

Use Priceline for downtown Albuquerque. You should be able to get a 3 star (doubletree) for about $36 or so a night.

Try Priceline - read up at www.biddingfortravel.com or www.betterbidding.com first. If you do Priceline for Uptown, you should be able to get something near the Park 'n Ride site by Coronado Mall.

Good luck getting something - hotel prices are undergoing their annual Balloon Fiesta ascent, too.

There are rooms to be had...for a price this late...but I would get a move on it. If you find something...post on here and we can let you know what it's like. Try staying in Rio Rancho. It's not that far from fiesta park [15 minutes without fiesta traffic] and there are a number of chain motels there.
