Arts Festival honolulu thanksgiving weekend

Heard there was an Arts/Crafts festival thanksgiving weekend in Honolulu. Is it something I shouldn't miss?

Do you have a name or a website or location? I did a quick search and see lots of different arts and crafts things around Honolulu this weekend, but none of them looked like major events (from what I could tell).

24th Islandwide Christmas Crafts & Food Expo at Blaisdell Center. It will be Friday, Saturday & Sunday November 26-28.

It is huge & quite crowded. If you plan to go, do so as soon as it opens before most of the crowd has a chance to get in.

I went a couple years ago & stood in line for about 1/2 hour or so. Wasn't too bad for the first 30-45 minutes after it opened, but really crowded after that.

I don't see it on the list, but usually when Blaisdell has their craft fair, there is a smaller one in Thomas Square, kitty corner from Blaisdell. Lots of homemade crafts in this one as well.

"I went a couple years ago & stood in line for about 1/2 hour or so."

I stood in line intentionally 1/2 hour or so before it opened.

I wanted to get in before the crowds got there.

The Hawaii Handcrafter's Guild used to do their Christmas fair about now, but it was cancelled this year. A shame, because they had beautiful stuff.

I hope to go the Blaisdell one on Friday at the opening. Will you be there Dusty? Maybe we can have another 30 second GTG like we did at the architect's tour last year!!

Thank you for this information. I'd love to plan a trip this time of year sometime, and do all my Christmas shopping in Hawaii. Thanks for the idea.

we went after our tour of Shangri La. Frankly, it was rather "hooky" Very "home town" arts and crafts type fair. Wasn't what I was expecting. Nothing that would warrant a repeat visit. We walked right in around 1:45pm and it was okay for the $4.00 charge.
