Airline Ticket Prices
We're trying to purchase airlines tickets from Little Rock, AR to Portland, OR around mid-April/May for a 9 day stay. A few weeks ago, the price was about $250/ticket. For the last 2 weeks, the price has held steady at $325/ticket. From experience, do any of you think the tickets prices will fall? We have been buying tickets to PDX for hte last 6 years and have never had to pay that much. I'm just wondering if it would be better for us to wait to purchase our tickets in hopes that the price will fall. Thanks.

I keep going back to the well until I find the price I want.
I recently booked flights from Seattle to LA at the times we want for about $200, whereas they had been in the $275 range when I shopped earlier.

try using www.farecompare.com or try itasoftware.com and use the month-long option.

please, please, please try southwest.com
Before moving all the way across the county from my family, I used Travelocity to find tickets. Then...I learned about Southwest Airlines. Now, I won't fly anything else. I check some dates in April and the rate comes back $109.

We almost always use Southwest on that route but occasionally get a better rate on American. Go directly to their websites for best prices. SW is showing a $109 one-way Internet fare but you'll have to work with the dates to get the exact price. Try to fly on Saturdays.

In any market where airlines must compete with ATA or Southwest, you can find better rates. I like kayak too for a general search engine. Also, try to check those rates early on a Tuesday morning for the best fares. By Wed afternoon, the prices go back up.
