What to wear in February and March (Arenal and Monteverde)?
Hello!
We're going to be travelling to Arenal and Monteverde at the end of February / first week of March. We plan to be doing a fair bit of hiking and walking. During this time, it will be rainy season in Arenal and dry season in Monteverde.
What are some must have clothes that we should bring? For instance, lightweight rain jacket and waterproof shoes seem like good ideas.
Do you recommend primiarily wearing shorts during the day or are pants a better for the climate during this timeframe?
Any other recommendations on clothing or packing in general would be greatly appreciated.

Most important thing is to favor fabrics like nylon over cotton, and above all avoid denim.
Waterproof anything is a good idea. We've used our waterproof hiking boots all over the country and they've been perfect.
