I, too am curious about this resort. My husband and I have an 8 yr old and considering a trip in February 2002. We would appreciate hearing from anyone that has stayed there. We're especially interested in hearing about the facilities for children and the golf!

Stayed at the Westin last week in Jan. Bring your wallet and leave the kids home. Very pricey. Hard to do for $200 a day. $50 for breakfast, $50 for lunch and $100 for dinner. Poolside burger..$14, 1 beer and 1 Myers and Coke..$14. Golf next door at El Dorado 246 a round pp. Club rental $32. Didn't make it to Cabo (by choice) but went into San Jose (10 min shuttle)and had a nice time but there are no bargains anywhere from what I saw. Ate at 3 or 4 places and had no problem with water or food. Just be smart, ask for bottled. Don't worry at the Westin as far as that issue goes, there is none.
The Westin is a spectacular place but a little too pricey for my blood.
For you fellow golfers El Dorado is some course and Nicklaus is my hero, but Damn, he's set the standard for high prices in resort golf.
