My wife and I are in the early stages of planning a round-the-world trip next <BR>year. We are at the point of listing the ideal stops. Once we have that in <BR>place, we can figure out what time of year to go. At this point we are <BR>expecting the trip to be 2 - 3 months. <BR> <BR>Given the fact that the Fodors readers are of some of the most well-traveled folks on the planet, I hoped you could help us out. Please make some suggestions about the greatest places you have visited. hi, even though you are posting this on latin america board, i am going to recommend you skip central america on this trip _ 3 months really isnt that long to go all around the world, and if you live in utah it's fairly easy to get back to mexico, belize etc. (all of which ARE worth a long visit if you haven't already been.) <BR>That said, my favorite other destinations would have to be Morocco _ go to Marrakech but take time to trek into the Atlas Mountains and ride a camel into the Sahara; Italy _ anywhere is great, but i especially like Rome and Amalfi; and Tahiti//Cook Islands//Fiji _ some of the most islands I've ever seen. <BR>please post your itinerary when you hav one; would love to see what you decide....
