am thinking about a trip to las ventanas in los cabos in early-mid may. will it be super crowded in cabo san lucas? will it be like a fraternity party scene as i've heard? how are the beaches? ocean? weather? thanks n

I also am planning a trip to MX in May and was trying to decide between Los Cabos and P.V. Any preferences? WHy? Luxury resorts in either? roni

You better do a search on Los Cabos before you decide. I have read some very negative comments about this place.

The response you got is correct. We had the vacation from hell in Cabo. Worst we have ever had. There are many nice places in Mexico. Cabo is not one of them

Las Ventanas is a lovely resort, and if you mostly want to spend your time there, you'll probably be happy. gorgeous pool, good spa, rooms are beautiful and the food is good (but expensive! but if you can afford las ventanas it probably doesn't matter to you.) Deepsea fishing is really good, and a fun way to spend a day, in cabo area.<BR><BR>However, Cabo would not be my pick for an allaround beach resort. I love mexico, but cabo, not so much. The waves are often too strong for swimming at the beach, the water of course isn't that Caribbean blue, and yes, a lot of bars in cabo are kinda frat-boy party.
