Furniture stores in Mexico City, DF

Hi: just moved to the DF and need some affordable stuff for our apartment in Polanco. Do not want to pay Polanco prices. Any ideas? No Ikea-type places around? Thanks much!

It can be difficult to find decent quality reasonably-priced furniture in a lot of areas of Mexico. But there are many reasonably priced tiendas de muebles in Toluca just outside of Mexico City. I would check that location out.

I've furnished a lot of my apartment with finds from the Sunday Lagunilla flea market.
The flea market on Saturdays at Cuauhtemoc near Colima is also good.

I know some furniture shops just near Home Depot, 15 minutes away from Polanco by the periferico side (actually it's in Naucalpan), it's still a little bit expensive but less than Polanco prices for sure! By the way Home Depot could be also good for you: http://www.homedepot.com.mx/webapp/w...bicacion/#8725

Hi all: great, thanks much. I will check out the Markets and Home depot as well. I was just there yesterday buying paint and didn't even look for furniture! The other shops near there sound like a good idea as well.
Gracias a todos!
