Does anyone have any information on discount all-inclusive travel? We ( self, husband and 12 and 16 yr. old) would like to travel to Puerto Vallarta next March. We did this last year (stayed at Las Palmas) and loved it, but just checking travel brochures for next year it seems quite expensive. I would be happy with a bed and breakfast, but my kids really liked the activities etc available at most resorts. <BR>Any suggestions of how to get around the big travel companies like Signature,etc, would be most appreciated. I do have enough "points" to cover airfare, if I could find a way of booking the hotel at a discount <BR>Thanks <BR>Anne-Marie

i belong to vip travel club where I can transfer my discounts to friends. I will be using it in February for the first time. If you want to browse the web site I can give you my member id. It will give you the same discount and then you can compare with what you've seen in the brochures. Do you live in Canada? The reason I ask is that we just booked our vacation,which is an all inclusive holiday, including the flight. I always book with a discount travel agent. There are two of these discount travel offices in each of many Western Canadian cities--Discount Travel Warehouse and Sun Holidays. I priced out the same all inclusive pkg. and most other regular travel agents were about $300 more per person. We figured out how much a person would pay on flight, accomodations, food and drink without getting a pkg. We found it would cost more. For us, it is a no-hassle and worry-free vacation, and wouldn't go any other way. But, if we want we can always eat out once in a while and we still are ahead. Anyways try these two discount travel agents, they can't be beat! They charge no commission like other travel agents do. There office is very basic, but who needs more? We've booked for three years with them (twice with Discount Travel Warehouse and once with Sun Holidays) and we had no problems!! I hoped this was useful information.

I just booked an all inclusive with a website caled: Skyauction.com and yes it is an auction and you can bid on the various trips. My husband and I are going to Costa - 7 days all inclusive for $1,000.00 each for everything/flight/food/drinks/non-motor water sports. All we have to do is pay for the various activities/trips that we want to do...they have some good bargins. Check out the site.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Yes, I do live in Cananda, actually in Toronto. There are some discount travel agents here. They discount approximately 10-12%. you may want to look at funjet.com or applevacations.com, both have great deals.. just books w/ funjet 7 nights from Chicago to Puerto Vallarta all inclusive everything for $550.00 per preson! You need to check the web & book w/ travel agent in your area, they usually get a little better deal.
