All Inclusives in Mexico

Looking for any information on good all inclusives in Mexico for the spring of 2001. Anyone know of any good specials, or particularly good places to focus our search?

Allegro Resorts!! They have about 10 different porpertys all over Mexico. All are all-inclusive, familys or couples. Lots of activities, good food and a great price usually! We have stayed at 3 different ones and loved everything about them, its not flashy and the rooms are just nice, but the staff has been wonderful and the entertainment is great! PDC (Playa Del Carmen-south of Cancun) was my fave without kids and Cozumel with the kids was the best!! All of them had great locations in the best area of their particular destination. Good luck!!

rich: check the 'all inclusives' section of www.mytravelboard.com/playa. Yes this is the Mayan Riveria section as mentioned by the above two posters. What can I say but "3 out of 3 poster can't be wrong!". Any of the ai's along the Mayan Riveria would be an excellent choice as far as where to focus your search. We particularly like the RIU hotels and you can go to their site at www.riuhotels.com where I believe they now offer on line booking.

My boyfriend and I just went to the Aventura Palace Resort an adult-only all inclusive resort this past August. We absoluely loved it. The resort was beautiful and the service wonderful. There are several choices for food, but we liked the sitdown, authentic Mexican food restaurant best. The pools are amazing and the beach, although a huge man made lagoon, was perfect. Fresh sea water and real sand (even good snorkeling) but no waves due to a rock wall that has been erected. We got a really good deal through Liberty Travel, $1200/pp for 7nts. all-inclusive (incl. 2 excursions), air, transfers, tips, and taxes. The only money we needed was for souvenirs. Both Liberty Travel and Palace resorts have good web sites and I would recommend them both highly.

Rich, if you can affort it, stay at the Royal Hideaway in Playa De Carmen. The resort is simply superb. Take a look at their website (www.royalhideaway.com). Note that this is allegro's flagship resort, and not to be confused with their Carribean Village in Cancun - which is a dump. Feel free to email me if you require more info.
