The train ride from Zurich to Como is about 3 hours. Here is the Swiss rail website:
http://www.sbb.ch/en/

At a quick glance for Sunday, it looks like there are hourly trains. Some have one train change and some don't. It depends on what time you depart.

I would wait to get the ticket until you get to the train station on Saturday.

Have fun - the train ride will have some beautiful scenery!

dm1 - There is a rail-travel office in the airport terminal. If you go visit it, please post about it when you come back, as we are planning on using it in June to pick up passes, tickets and info. I'll go look for it in my favorites, and post about it in a moment.

If you have't been to the Zurich airport website:

Hope that helps. The ticket/info office is SBB.

I am very excited for you and I hope you have the best trip.

This is an even better airport map, but it is 2.50 Mb in a pdf format. If your download speed can handle it, it is worth it.

Thanks for wanting to share; we will be going in June and will take the train to Lugano. VS :-"
