y Restaurant search continues for Piedmont

We will be in the Piemonte area for 5 days this September and I am having difficulty
choosing restaurants. I guess we are very plain eaters - unfortunately most of the dishes
I have read about do not appeal to me and especially my husband. We love, love, love wine and can't wait to visit this area, but maybe someone can help us with our eating dilemma. I am hoping that the restaurants in and around Alba, La Morra, Treiso etc have other items on the menu that we would enjoy that have not been mentioned because they are not typical of the area. We like pasta - with a red sauce. Braised meat in Barolo sauce is fine - but I can't find it on most menus. We like mushrooms - we have never had truffles- but I am sure we will love them. We do not eat runny eggs, anchovies, raw meat or tongue, hoofs, sweetbreads and (to us) exotic body parts. I am sure the food is sublime to many people - more adventurous than us. Perhaps someone give us some suggestions? We are staying in Treiso.
