Would you recommend picking up our rental car early to visit Carmona from Sevilla?

It was my plan to pick up our rental car at the end of our 5 night stay in Sevilla. We would have it for 12 days. I am wondering if we should pick it up two days earlier, the rental would be for a full two weeks and we could take a day trip to Carmona, Italica. We are staying in an apartment in the Santa Cruz neighborhood while in Spain and one of the comments was about parking for about 10 euros per day.

There isn't much information about visiting Carmona on Fodors so I'm hoping for comments regarding whether we should add a visit to Carmona by car to our itinerary. We will be driving in the direction of Jerez after Sevilla so a visit to Carmona would take us too far out of our way.
