Winter in Europe; Amazing things to do?
I am spending December and January in Europe by myself this year and am looking for some wonderful things to do that aren't the usual touristy attractions. I am spending christmas in Paris and new years in Edinburgh- as well as visiting (in no particular order) Rome, Venice, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Reykjavik, Madrid and Barcelona.
Any ideas at all would be appreciated- thankyou!

Thanks Adrienne! I had not even considered the Loreto Church in Prague- thankyou very much!
And liyoko- you have been reported- I have plenty of ideas of what I will be doing, but it never hurts to get extra advice and tips. If you dont have anything helpful or constructive to say, maybe dont say it.

liyoko just sent me a somewhat threatening email. I've reported him to the editors (not sure what they can do) and I've removed my email address and location from my profile. I wanted to let people who responded to this thread know about it. I've never before felt unsafe posting on fodors.
