What to do....?
I'll be in Amsterdam from August 31 to September 3, coming from Barcelona.
And then from Amsterdam, i'll be heading to Dusseldorf for 2 days. and to Brussels for 2 days before heading to Paris for 5 days to celebrate my birthday.
I'm 27 years old. I like to eat, see great architecture, cruise around the city, shopping, and experience what each city has to offer. In Amsterdam: visit Rijksmuseum, Van gogh, Ann Frank's House, Cruise the Canal, I AMsterdam picture, maybe dinner cruise.
Anybody please, can someone please help me with things to do for those days and where to eat without getting in that "tourist trap," and hopefully, for my birthday, i wanna have dinner to atleast 1-2 Michelin Star Restaurant. Question is, which one?
Thanks guys.

As far as a nice architectural walk away from many popular tourist sights, the islands are a nice suggestion: http://whatsupwithamsterdam.com/western-islands-walk/
What kind of food do you like?

I don't frequent Michelin starred restaurants so couldn't advise on the best 1* (or cheapest, I suspect). I think Agape in the 7th is on the cheaper end for a 1*.
However, I would suggest you go to the architecture museum at the Trocadero (Cite de l'Architecture)

I agree that the Cité de l'Architecture is a must for anybody with an interest in architecture -- besides of course seeing the architectural wonders available in a city like Paris.
Here is the report I made about the Cité de l'Architecture:

But I have also made a report about architecture in Paris that most people would never recognize:

And I even made a report about repurposed industrial buildings in Paris:
