Vacation
We are planning a trip to Italy, probobly for 7-9 days. I would like to stay in Rome for a couple of days, the Amalfi coast for 2-3 days and then Taormina for the final 3 days or so. I am looking for accomadations in the 3-4 star range with great views and a relaxing atmosphere. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Jack,

Your request sounds very trollish. If you're serious about needing this information do a search for each of your destinations and you should find a ton of hotel info. If you still don't find what you need try changing the title of your request to be more specific like *Need hotel info for Rome, Amalfi & Taormina*
Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply. I didn't mean to sound "trollish". Quite simply, I have never been to Italy, am not what some might consider an "adventurer" and was just looking for some recommendations from others who have actually stayed and enjoyed their accomodations in the mentioned areas.

Sorry you found my query to be frivilous.

I don't think that Jack is a troll, and I don't think that Joan is talking to herself. For newcomers, this is an easily confused item. I think that Jack thought he was supposed to "reply to" Joan by listing her name as "address" where his own belongs.

No matter - - why don't we answer Jack's questions?

Jack, I suggest you start with www.italyhotel.com and www.karenbrown.com - - two of the best websites for lodging choices throughout Italy at all price ranges.

Jack
Will you be driving, or taking the train?
You are trying to cover a fair amount of territory in a relatively short period of time, and significant time will be lost in traveling, packing and unpacking, checking in and out, etc. Just wanted to point out that since you want "relaxing" you might want to scale down the intra-Italy traveling a bit.
