Two open days, and so much to choose from!
I have used all your wonderful help and guidance to other travellers on this site to book most of my own 13-day August trip. I have a couple of days unaccounted for between Killarney and Dublin and want to get some feed back about places to stay. Here's my trip so far:
Day 1 - Arrive Shannon, Stay in Bunratty
Day 2 - Doolin
Day 3 - Doolin
Day 4 - Dingle
Day 5 - Dingle
Day 6 - Killarney
Day 7 - Killarney
Day 8 - ?
Day 9 - ?
Day 10 - Dublin
Day 11 - Dublin
Day 12 - Dublin
Day 13 - Home
We arrive early at the Shannon Airport - does it take all day to see the folk park at Bunratty, or is there another town or attraction nearby we should check out first?
For days 8 and 9, I'd like to see Glendalough, Powerscourt, maybe Cashel, not interested in Waterford or Blarney Stones, and can spend part of Day 10 sight seeing on the way to Dublin.
Any ideas or direction you can send my way?

We are going to Ireland next month, flying in and out of Dublin. But our trip will be Dublin, Galway, Killarney, Kinsale and Cork. If I had two open days since you be down south, I would go to Cork.

I'd go to Cashel. From there, you can see the Rock of Cashel and also the nearby Cahir Castle. I don't think, though, that you'd need two nights in Cashel. I'd probably stay there on Night #8 and then begin heading towards Dublin.

What I'd do:
Day 8: Drive to Kinsale or Cobh. Sightsee, stay in one of those two.
Day 9: Early start to Cashel. See Cahir on the way, Rock of Cashel if there's enough time that day. Stay in Cashel.
Day 10: Head to Dublin. See Glendalough on the way.
