i am looking to travel in wicked van from ghent to aachen , up through hamelin , bremen into hamburg could i do comfortably this in 4 days? what would be an estimate of fuel? hoping for any help i can get !!! what would be the highlights - am i missing anything that would be of great interest , travelling with my husband and 3 boys (7 , 15 and 18) the boys and i enjoy medieval history.

Since you are travelling this route it would be a nice idea for you to check out the German Fairy Tale Road : http://deutsche-maerchenstrasse.com/en/ - that will certainly give you some more ideas. It intersects at some points with the German Half-Timbered House route: http://deutsche-maerchenstrasse.com/en/ .

I think you will enjoy Ghent and Aachen too. Interesting route - hope you have a nice time.

thankyou for the links we are very excited as we have been wanting to get to europe for years!! its a long way from australlia and our first driving trip so driving on the wrong side of the road will be our biggest challenge! thankyou again
