Travel from Scotland to Santorini

I am planning a Trip to go from Scotland to Santorini with my husband. I will be done in Scotland in June 6th and have to leave Santorini by June 16th, I have been to London and going there after my Santorini trip. I would like some suggestion as to where and how should I go in between so it is fun but not to expensive

"...where and how should I go in between..."

Do you mean that you want to stop between Scotland & Santorini, not go directly? Most of Europe is between those 2 so some guidance would help.

I, for instance, might go to Kusadasi, then take a ferry to Santorini with a stop on the way in Naxos.

That question is completely and utterly unanswerable -- as mentioned, most of Europe is between Scotland and Santorini . . . But as you only have 10 days you can only go to a very few places out of the thousands of possibilities…

OR -- by any chance are you just asking the best mode of transport between Scotland and Greece/Santorini so you can spend those 10 days there.

The short answer to that is fly from EDI or GLA to Athens, stay a couple of days, then take a ferry or fly to Santorini. Then back to Athens and fly to London.

I was wondering if I should go to Prague or Vienna or Budapest in between?

that is up to you . . . do you want to go to Prague or Vienna or Budapest?? If so, then do.

With just 10 days wouldn't you want to spend all that time in Greece . . . Or do you ONLY want to visit Santorini?

Get a map of Europe, a blindfold, and a couple of pins. Turn around three times then stick the pins into the map. Now go to skyscanner.net or whichbudget.com or https://matrix.itasoftware.com and find flights to the airports nearest to your pinholes. There's your trip.

Sometimes it is very hard to try and figure out how some people's minds work. This is a classic example.

I was simply not that charmed by Santorini, much preferred Naxos. And that, I confess, is the total of my Greek Island experience. But the contrast was striking. I'd say Santorini is a good place to see the views over the caldera, eat-drink and be merry with lots of others doing the same thing. Just not my cup of ouzo. I'd recommend giving yourself an alternate plan in case you also find it boring.

You don't have enough days to stop someplace in between Scotland and Greece. You'll be wasting too much time if you do. Spend 2-3 days in Athens after your time on Santorini.

When we were at Santorini last September, it was not crowded. Mid-June could certainly be different.

Stay near Imerovigli, if you want peaceful views and fewer people. Don't stay near the harbor or in Fira, where it does get very crowded.
