Towns between Dingle and Doolin, Ireland or North of Galway
Hello,
Me and my mom are travelling to Ireland in May 2015 for 10 nights and we are having trouble picking a place to stay one of the nights. We have a night in Dingle and a night in Doolin, but we're looking for a town that we could stay at in between the two towns. If anyone has any recommendations for a good town to visit, please let me know!
The other option would be to travel somewhere between Galway and Dublin either heading further north or someone in between.
Please let me know!

North of Galway, The Connemara area of County Mayo has some of the lovliest (and loneliest) scenery in Ireland. At the northern end, the town of Westport is charming and has a nice food market and other interesting shops. From there you can drive along the Famine Road, between Louisburgh and Delphi, where a number of people died of cold during the potato famine after walking to Delphi to present a petition for help only to find out that there was no help available there.
Closer to Galway, but maybe a longer drive, Clifden is a beautiful town on the Atlantic coast. You could spend weeks just driving along the beautiful roads in the Connemara and hardly see another person.

Why Dingle and Doolin?
Between the two you might find Ennis a contrast http://www.visitennis.com/. Above Galway, Clifden always gets my vote but if you are aiming from Doolin to Dublin to complete the typical tourist 3D's triangle then I would suggest Birr over the usual spot of Athlone.

Lahinch is great but by the time you are there you night as well be 10 minutes up the road in Doolin. Kilkee might be a coastal option down on Loop Head taking the Shannon Ferry.
Lahinch might be a consideration if aiming for Kinvara or Galway rather than Doolin
