Tour from Amsterdam to Brussels

Any recommendations or advice for a day tour from Amsterdam to Brussels for March 22 or 23?

Thanks!

Just buy a train ticket, go there with a guidebook and wander round. No need for a 'tour' - though I imagine there's a HOHO bus circuit if you want one.

Thalys trains only take 1h49 each way from Amsterdam Centraal to Brussels Midi, fares vary from €27 to €87 each way, book early for the cheapest prices at www.b-europe.com or www.thalys.com

It's a 25 min walk from Brussels Midi to the Grande Place, but with a Thalys ticket it's free to transfer by local train every 5-10 minutes from Brussels Midi to Brussels Central, which is only a 5 min walk from the famous Grande Place.

I'm not sure why anyone would need a tour. Just get on the train and go. Read a guidebook or tow in advance and have a map so you can find your way around. Neither city is complicated.

If you're in need to escape Amsterdam and to cross the border to Belgium, you might find Antwerpen a more lively (and more manageable) city than Brussels. And the journey is half an hour shorter.

I'll throw in Rotterdam for a day trip - the museums, the harbor, the unusual architecture and the most awesome market - Rotterdam Market Hall - are all within walking distance or easy tram from the train station. We loved our 2 day stay last November.
