We loved the restaurant "Daca" (pronounced Dacha) in Belgrade. Traditional Serbian food, outstanding service - extremely friendly. Great atmosphere, great prices. We took a bus from the city center, but it was a very short ride and easy to handle.
We also loved an Italian place on Kralja Petra, about 2 doors down from our hotel (Hotel Royal). One of my friends said they made the best pizza before our trip and I thought, "yeah, right...in Serbia?" but their pizza margherita is excellent!
Also loved Monument for the best salads - really fantastic produce and many, many selections. Nice atmosphere, too.
