TGV in CDG (to Avignon and back)?
Is there one? (I believe so) DH and I are flying into Paris next May, and then flying from there to London, but now we are thinking of taking the train to Provence for a few days.
So, what if we stayed in Paris for a few days, then took the TGV to Avignon. I'd imagine we'd go to Gare du Lyon to catch the TGV there, but on the return back from Avignon, can we take it right to the airport to catch our flight to London?
Also, would it be more expensive to do it this way, since we're not going to be getting a round trip ticket?
Thanks.

I believe you would have to get from Gare de Lyon to CDG via RER or taxi or other. BUT, I haven't checked on SNCF web site where you can click on TGV to verify. It's a great trip, about 2 hours 45 minutes, Paris to Avignon.

Yes, you can take a TGV from Gare de Lyon to Avignon and then return from Avignon directly to CDG.
You'd probably have to pay for two separate tickets, though. But you're planning far enough in advance that you could almost certainly get two PREM fares, one for each leg.
I would not advise, however, taking the TGV to the airport the day of your flight, but that's just me. I know the trains are reliable, BUT if something goes wrong, you don't have many options for making your flight. That said, I did it once - too a TGV from Lyon right to the airport, and except that I was a nervous wreck the whole way, all went fine. A lot depends on the terminal your flight leaves from. If it leaves from Terminal 2, it's pretty easy. If you have to change terminals, it becomes more complicated.

Is your flight from Paris-London booked already?
It seems such a waste of time to go:
Avignon - Paris - London
Can you see if you could just fly Avignon-London? Saves you a lot of time and hassle.

Yeah, we're using miles, so it's already locked in as far as the destinations. I can still switch the dates and times of the flights, just not the routing/airports. With business class flights "paid for" with miles, I don't mind spending the money on the train fare.
The whole trip actually consists of Paris - London - Amsterdam, and we have 18 days total in which to do it. So, adding in Provence wouldn't be a huge time sucker. But since we've never been to London before (and have been to Paris, Provence, and Ams) we were thinking of spending the largest chunk of time there - 8 or 9 days.

I'm not clear on what RT ticket you are asking about, airline or train? There isn't any price differential on RT train tickets, they don't even exist. Even if you book both segments at the same time (going and returning), they just give you two separate tickets.
