synagogues in ireland?

We will be travelling in Ireland in late July and would like to attend Sabbath services in a synagogue. We've searched the web and it seems as though there is one synagogue in Cork (we couldn't find an address) and one in the Terenure suburb of Dublin. However, we could not find e-mail addresses or phone numbers for either one. We would be grateful for any information on whether or not these institutions still exist and if we stayed in central Dublin if any one has an idea of how long and how safe it is to walk to Terenure from Dublin. Thank you.

I don't know about a working synagogue, but there is a "Irish Jewish Museum" at 3-4 Walworth St, about 20 min walk from the center. 01/453-1797. Should visit.

Ju -

Have you been to Ireland? We were there 12 days, loved it, want to go back, and tell our friends to go. There may be more interesting places, but it is close, English speaking, fun, clean, modern, prosperous, with loads of things to do and see.

Phyllis,
Just found this message board and I will get you info on the distance for the synagogue from my cousins who are Orthodox and live in Dublin. Not that much to see in Dublin, but the country is beautiful. Have been there for 3 Bar Mitzvahs and many other simchas.
Where are you from? I will get an answer for you this week.

Arlene
