Spain for 2 weeks, including over Easter weekend - itinerary help?

Jump to last reply

Hello! I am heading to Spain from April 21 to May 3 (2 weeks) this year, and am hoping some more informed travellers can help with my intinerary.

We are flying into Madrid, and intend to keep this as our 'home base' to travel from. My original itinerary included the first and last 4 nights in Madrid and then 4 nights in Zaragoza, with short trips to the surrounding areas. But now that I've been reading about Easter celebrations in Spain, I am wondering if we should go to Zaragoza for Good Friday, or if there might be a better itinerary to take in the celebrations?

We are a couple in our 30s/40s and like people watching and night life, if that helps. Both of us have a great interest in history, which is why we picked Zaragoza to visit. We based it on a recommendation from a friend, but are absolutely flexible in our itinerary.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
