Solo in Corsica

Bonjour !

I'm planning a solo trip to Corsica at the end of August early September 2006. It is safe for a single woman to be there solo? I'm planning to visit Ajaccio and Bonifacio (maybe with a tour) but I also want to spend some time relaxing on the beach by the beautiful Mediterranean sea. What do you think?

Absolutely no problem for single women. I used to live in Paris where it can, at certain times of the day or in certain places, be decidedly unpleasant. But here in Corsica I would say that there is a definite respect for the person whether you are in town or walking in the countryside.
