self guided bike tour/ or SAG wagon tour for Netherlands
We are quickly planning trip to Netherlands and Germany for 2 weeks. We will be starting in amsterdam first three days then want to cycle south towards Brussels for about 5 days about 50 to 80 km per day--- anyone know of a company that will transport luggage and provide self guided tours? Any advice is appreciated---thanks!

When in Germany, you can stay at bed and bike hotels and they will transfer luggage between hotels

I did a ride with Irish Cycling Safaris in 2000, when they were a tiny little outfit mostly in Ireland.
They have grown. They do many countries in Europe now.

It sounds like you want someone to lug your stuff and you do the rest including route selection, though. I don't have a suggestion for that but if you change your mind, this group was great.

Most companies offer group trips which include time on a barge as well. They take 8 days.
SOme B&Bs offer luggage transport for cyclists, but most Dutch on cycling holidays carry everything on their bikes.
You could choose to do a tour of say Brabant or Zeeland as an individual tour, from a company.
The problem with doing it your self, which with a bit of effort would at least in theory be possible, is that you will be on hired bikes and getting them back to Amsterdam would be nigh on impossible.
Tbh I think you are also being a bit ambitious in your time scale - it leaves little time for stopping or exploring or getting lost!

thanks Bigtyke. We have a home base to stay in Germany, but if decide to venture away we will investigate the hotel luggage transport. I'M thinking we may just pick 2 towns and stay 2 nights each and cycle from the hotel we stay at.
thanks everyone.

Luggage transfer may sound interesting but it's not in flat countries like the Netherlands or Belgium. For the simple fact that the distances between participating hotels are rather small. E.g. 15 miles. I guess you'd like to cycle more without luggage. ;-)
My advice: base yourself in one place, reachable by train. Do some bicycle loops in that area without luggage. And after that choose a new destination for more light weight cycling.
'Vrienden op de Fiets' is a good idea too. Most families know a lot about cycling and can give you useful advice about touring in their region.
Don't expect too much from cycling in Brussels. Base yourself for your penultimate flemish city in nearby Ghent, Leuven or Mechelen.
