Rome, Prague, Sicily honeymoon
Hi
My husband and I will be traveling from July 15 till August 14th. We fly to Rome and want to visit Sicily and Prague besides some cities in Italy.
.
I've been looking at the air options to fly in a triangle, from Rome> Prague> Palermo and back to Rome...or Rome>Palermo>Prague and back to Rome but I'm finding doing this proves too expensive. Is leaving from Rome the way to go because it would be cheaper that way? is doing 2 separate round trip tickets the best and more economical way to go?
We will stay about 5 days in Prague and 5 in Sicily...the rest will be Rome and cities in Italy.
Please advise! I would consider the train too but it doesn't seem worth based on the time that we have.
Thanks!!

I'm with Bob on your chosen destinations. At that time of year, I would stay more north, definitely not Sicily.
You need to investigate an "open jaw" ticket. Fly from home into one city and fly from another city to home.

You need an open jaws ticket - I would do into Sicily and out of Prague (look at multi-city or multi-destination flights). Then you can make your way from city to city by train or budget flights, depending on your exact itinerary. All that cricular stuff makes no sense - a big waste of time and money.

Thank you! my new husband's ancestry is half czech and half Sicilian! Those were the reasons why we are wanting to visit those 2 very different places! If I were to get pregnant later on we probably never be going to either places in a loooong time!
where do you book "open jaw" tickets?

Hi,
I had my honeymoon last dec/jan in Rome and Austria and it was awesome. Moreover, I went to Prague too and it was way better and cheaper than I thought
If you have already made up your mind for these cities then I will recommend either to go to Prague in the beginning or at the end. In this way, a norther city (Prague) will be out of your way and you can easily visit any part of the Italy altogether.
I will recommend to check www.opodo.com. Normally they have the cheaper airline tickets.
