Rome Colosseum Night tours
I can't seem to find specific information on how to reserve one of the Thursday/Saturday night tours of the Roman Colosseum without going through a third party.
If possible, I would like to reserve the tour given by the Colosseum, not an independent tour group. Also wondering if the Forum is accessible on those (or any) nights.
thanks.

The website says it's Friday nights only at 8 until Oct. 25 for the Forum. It scrolls through pics, but one is the Forum night ingo.

Thanks,
Is this is the best site to reserve?
So it's Thursday and Saturday for the Colosseum

and Friday for the Forum.

Coopculture is the official site, but it seems they aren't currently booking those tickets. I think they are tweaking the info for fall so keep checking.
It used to be the night tours were only one certain night for a couple of weeks/months only (Aug/Sept) in conjunction with some other things around Rome with special night openings (the Vatican Museums on Friday night and the Capitoline Museum was open one night).

Again thanks, kybourbon, I am going to call the number listed and see what we can find out.
drchris. If it's your first time in Rome I think a guided, small group, tour would be best for visiting the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine~in daylight.
But if you have seen it before in mid-day, I think nighttime would be give you a different feel and different views.
This will be our 15th or so trip to Rome and I look forward to some wonderful photos and some rather spine tingling feelings in the Colosseum at night.

This is just a follow-up.
The website kybourbon posted was correct, but I think you can only book by phone.
We called the number listed and reserved.
We have 5 confirmed reservations for the Colosseum on a Thursday night and 4 for the Forum on the following Friday night.
No upfront money. When the confirmation was emailed there was some confusion about paying 5 days in advance but another phone call assured me that this was just part of the standard form, and payment isn't required until entry at our reserved time.
Thanks again
