Recommendatios for busy coastal resorts in the Canaries

I'm looking for recommendations for busy coastal resorts in the Canaries. The resort must have plenty of choice regarding bars and restaurants as I will be holidaying there for at least a month. I love Puerto de Mogan in Gran Canaria but I feel I will run out of bars/restaurants if I stay there for over a fortnight. Ideally I'm looking for somewhere like Puerto de Mogan but on a bigger scale.

Any recommendations would be appreciated - it can be anywhere in the Canaries.

While it is true the Canaries are Spanish and you'll likely get some response here . . . Fodors files them on the Africa/Middle East forum. So you might want to post there too (and look at threads tagged for the Canary Islands)

The islands aren't huge and nor are the resorts. If you rent a car, and rental is really cheap, you can visit other places. I can't imagine staying in one town for a fortnight or more, certainly not the size of most Canarian towns.
I think you need to decide on an island and be prepared to visit other places on it, unless you are happy baking on a beach all day.

Playa de las Americas on Tenerife, if you like Irish pubs and the like, and a loud nightlife. Lots of Brits there, whereas Gran Canaria has a different audience (more Germans and Scandinavians).
